Liz Simons is a modern day non-Asian Claudia Kishi

I grew up with the Baby-sitters Club. I always liked Kristy Thomas and Mary Ann Spiers the best because they were nerdy like me. Claudia Kishi and Stacey McGill--who was from NEW YORK--were too cool for school and intimidated me.

Flash forward 20 years and I still think Claud and Stacey are awesome, but I realize I'm more like them than I thought. I live in New York like Stacey (but without permed hair and diabetes).

And I LOVE junk food like Claudia!

While I am a great speller (knock on wood) I actually identify a lot with Claudia. I may not dress as wild as she did, and I don't read Nancy Drew mysteries, but I do keep a stash of candy and sweets at my desk at work. I don't hoard it--that would be gross--but everyone knows to bring me any extra cupcakes or pizza, which happened today! I scored some organic pizza and a Crumbs cupcake . . . so delicious!

Now it's bedtime.
