Sorry your girl Liz has been oh so absent lately. I've been BUSY taking names and eating lots and lots of free food. My beautiful cousin Claire got married on Saturday to her super cool new hubby Blaise in Newport, Rhode Island. And guess who was invited??? ME! Wow!

Weddings are awesome for lots of reasons. One you get to dress up. Two, if you're single, you might meet someone with who you may have a really meaningful one night long relationship, and three, my favorite . . .

Free food and free booze!

My cousin Claire's wedding was no exception, well, except for the second part since I was staying at my Nana's with my parents. I dressed up in a gorge dress that I borrowed from my dear friend (and biggest fan) Lori. See how sexy I look in this picture? I bet you're wondering how I am single! I ask the same thing every day.

As I mentioned, no one night flings. But there was PLENTY of free food and booze because Claire and her fam DO NOT MESS AROUND.

I started with a glass of champagne, and ate several hors d'oeuvres. I didn't even ask what they were because they looked edible and I was HUNGRY.

I kept refilling my glass, I sat down to eat. There was a seafood bisque, a tasty salad, and FILET mother f---ing MIGNOT. And cake!

I also danced a lot.

Overall, a tres excellent time. Thanks Claire!

Nobody Knows the Trouble I've Seen

Your girl Liz has faced ADVERSITY. I have had two scavenge for free food all this week. My coworker did bring me in a HOMEMADE banana crumb muffin yesterday, but you know what I ate TODAY? A Dum Dum.

That's dumb dumb.

Slow Day in Foodland

Hey all!

There used to be a time when the economy was good and I ate lots of free food. Now I'm lucky if I eat a Jawbreaker!

Yep, a Jawbreaker was my free food selection for the day today. That, and a little sample of Tasti Delight. So sad.

Like margaritas! And tequila!

Friday night I went out to dinner at Tortilla Flats with my old department. Chips, salsa, guac, an entree, and all you can drink for 2 hours for $50, including tax and tip. What a bargain!

While I did pay my own way, after we were done my old boss bought another round of margaritas and shots and your girl Liz was happy as a clam! And a bit drunk! Yeah!

Saturday I recovered, and today I ran 11 miles and played Bingo with senior citizens. All in all, a great weekend!!!

Insatiable urge to eat!

Why oh why do I love food so much? Even when it is not free??? Today I bought a huge piece of chocolate cake from Amy's Bread and it was the best thing I ever ate IN MY LIFE. And I've eaten Peeps people!

For free food I ate a Jawbreaker. That is the sad truth.

Yeah, I am back!

Okay, okay, I've been bad. Baby has been reaaaaaaal bad. Excuses, excuses. See I was training for a marathon, then I ran it, and then I, er, had to go to work. Every day. Wow!

So I will do my best to fulfill the insatiable hunger for my words from you, my 10 readers.

Today was a good day for food in general, but a bad day for free food. I ate 3 little Tootsie Rolls. While good, I would have preferred a Kit Kat.

We will talk more tomorrow. I promise.
